10th Annual Robert Bateman Lecture
Royal Roads University invites you to celebrate Robert Bateman’s legacy of environmental practice, communication and education at the tenth annual Robert Bateman Lecture.
Dr. Enid Elliot, Camosun College early learning and child care instructor and University of Victoria adjunct professor, will speak about the Nature Kindergarten program. Launched as a two-year pilot program in 2012 at Sangster Elementary School, and situated in the natural forest lands at Royal Roads University, Nature Kindergarten engages children to connect deeply with nature through play, experience the environment as a co-teacher, learn collaboratively as part of an empathetic community and experience traditional and local ways of knowing.
Please join us at the intersection of nature and human health for this celebration of sustainability.
Admission: by donation to support the Birgit and Robert Bateman Bursary
