Bike to Work Week
The Bike to Work Week Committee is really excited to have you help us ride even further this year! All you have to do is sign up by email, cycle some distance to work, and record your cycling distances in our online distance tracker.
As always, there will be lots of prizes and fun activities! The more you ride, the better your chances of winning. We’ll be kicking off the week on Monday, May 25 with a ride up Breakfast table at the entrance to campus. There will be some free snacks and free coffee as well as random prizes! On Tuesday May 26 there will be a celebration station set up on the Galloping Goose Trail just across from the main entrance to campus from 4-6pm. On Wednesday May 27, there will be a fun lunch-time event on campus where you can test your skills on two-wheels and win some prizes! Sometime during the week RRU’s very own Sarah Cook will also be leading a lunch time Yoga session – which will be free for anyone signed up as an RRU Roadie.
Remember over the long weekend to take your bike out the of the garage and get it ready for some fun riding at the end of this month. If your bike needs a tune up, Oak Bay Cycles Westshore are offering a free drive-train clean with tune ups, plus 15% off parts and accessories to all RRU staff.
Stay tuned over the next week for more details on Bike to Work 2015! And if you have any questions or suggestions please don't hesitate to email us.
