Join members of the RRU Calgary Alumni Branch for the fifth annual Winter Gala in support of the Wild Rose Alumni Impact Award Feb. 10. Alumni, students and their guests are invited to enjoy exceptional dining, an opportunity to reunite with fellow alumni members, forge new friendships, and hear from RRU alumnus speaker Robert Barrett of Calgary, an expert in security and foreign affairs whose accomplishments span the worlds of both industry and academe. His speaking topic, The Hidden Element: The Role of Culture in a Globalizing World, will consider the pressing issues posed by culture in international business environments. Proceeds from this evening help fund the annual Wild Rose Alumni Impact Award, which supports a deserving RRU student from Alberta. During the evening you’ll meet Greg Doudican, the 2013 Impact Award winner. Greg, from Calgary, is an immigration specialist whose international studies focus on human security and peacebuilding. Complimentary underground parking is included, although space is limited. All guests must be pre-registered and pre-paid. There is no registration at the door.
