TeamsWork invites you to an interactive and practical encore workshop lead by University of Calgary’s Tom O’Neill - a leading expert in the areas of team dynamics, virtual teams, conflict management, personality, and assessment - and his Individual Team Performance (ITP) Metrics co-creator Nicole Larson, who will guide recent users, and those wishing to observe, about the ITP Metrics tools in a more in-depth understanding of application. The session will engage you through hands on activities and reviews of recent case studies to obtain a complete student experience on assessment (pre-brief, communication, platform and debrief).  This workshop is designed to enhance your success with implementation of self/peer assessment (and other assessment tools) in your classroom. Team Coaches Trish Dyck and Michael Pardy will be on hand supporting the session.

Please bring your laptop and a copy of current course outline(s) -  you will leave with an action plan for enhancement of team development tools in one of your courses!

Prior to the session, please review the ITP Metrics site to refresh your knowledge and summarize your questions and challenges with utilizing the assessment tools.

Last year, Tom introduced the ITP Metrics research and assessment tools (particularly self and peer assessment tools) to Royal Roads University.  Since then, several Royal Roads instructors and a variety of team coaches have experimented with the use of these tools, it is time to dig deeper into our application!  Those who have yet to introduce these tools in the classroom are invited to participate in an observer role.
