ECDC Quarterly Entrepreneurial Gathering
Where is the Eric C. Douglass Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies?
Why…Inside Fort Tectoria, of course.
Join intrepid Royal Roads entrepreneurs/makers/innovators/rebels to check out our awesome new space in Fort Tectoria, hear captivating stories about value creation, eat free food, and mix, mingle and meet with other like-minded folks (students, staff and alumni of all programs are welcome).
Hear from Royal Roads student, two-time Olympic alpine skier and Helmets for Heroes founder Brad Spence. Brad will speak about how he incorporates his learning from the BCom program in the launch of his venture which connects art and sport to help children battling illness cope and heal.
Helmets for Heroes features the artwork of children battling illness on helmets for high-performance athletes. Post-competition, the helmets are auctioned to benefit a charity of the child artist’s choice.
Also on the bill is BCom alum Aaron Smith, founder of www.GoVoluntouring.com. Aaron will share the dynamic saga of this venture which started in a residency classroom at Royal Roads.
We’ll also hear from MALT alum, serial entrepreneur, investor and associate faculty member Colin How, who will speak about his entrepreneurial life on both sides (student and teacher) of the RRU applied learning experience.
The first Quarterly Entrepreneurial Gathering of the Eric C. Douglass Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies will kick off at 6:15pm at 777 Fort Street on Wednesday, July 15th.
RSVP to Sylvia.firstname.lastname@example.org, as space is limited.
