Join award-winning journalist Mohsin Abbas for a presentation to staff, faculty and students. Abbas spent a year filming a documentary on Malala, the girl who survived being shot by the Taliban in 2012. A long-time advocate for freedom of speech in oppressed regimes such as Pakistan, Abbas will recount some of his experiences as a journalist and show a clip from his film, Malala: A Girl from Paradise. The last half hour will be questions and small-group discussions.

Bring your questions and your lunch. This event is hosted by the International Study Centre.
