The Community Social Planning Council (CSPC) has just completed an action-oriented research project on the future of the Greater Victoria labour market, in collaboration with the West Shore Chamber and the Greater Victoria Development Agency. The study was based on B.C. Stats data for projected growth sectors of the economy over the next 10 years. It also included interviews with employers and other training and education stakeholders on the skills needed now and in the future. This study was funded by the B.C. Labour Market Partnership Program.
At this phase in the study, CSPC is now seeking to review findings with people who have a stake in the regional economy, including interested parties at RRU who may be seeking to align new program proposals with these growth sectors.
Please join Dr. Catherine Etmanski as she hosts an informal gathering to review the findings on June 23 at 9 a.m. in Hatley Castle 315.
