Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW): June 12 to 14
The Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) is a three-day face-to-face workshop that is focused on developing and reinvigorating teaching skills for face-to-face learning. ISW is a participatory workshop that affirms the instructional techniques you already do well, while encouraging you to take risks and try more. Over the course of this 3-day intensive workshop, you will learn and practice effective teaching skills to create an active and engaging learning environment for your students. You will see innovative activities modeled by facilitators and other participants. Over the three days, you will facilitate three ten-minute “mini lessons”, give and receive peer feedback, and learn from others’ examples. This workshop is designed for new and experienced instructors from colleges, universities, business, government and other organizations and institutions as well as those hoping to gain employment as instructors in their areas of expertise.
