In this 90-minute workshop, you will learn how to get around and use My Media, getting hands-on practice creating, editing and sharing videos and other media in Moodle.

My Media is a new feature in Moodle that allows you to create, edit and share videos and other media directly in your Moodle platform. From your My Media library, you can create screencasts, narrated presentations, audio recordings and videos of yourself from your webcam. You can even add questions to your video to make a video quiz.

This workshop is designed for faculty and staff who are already familiar with Moodle.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Create new media recordings (e.g. webcam, voice, screencast, narrated presentation, video quizzes, etc.);
  • Edit media recordings;
  • Identify reasons to use video and other media in a Moodle course;
  • Navigate around your My Media library; and
  • Upload video and other media to a Moodle page.

Unable to attend the workshop? We are also offering an online course, which you can complete at your own pace from the comfort of your office or home.

To register for this workshop or the online self-paced course, send an email to CTET Faculty Development.
