National Coming Out Day 2020 & PSN Workshop Opportunity
October 11, 2020, is the 32nd annual National Coming Out Day to celebrate coming out as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) or as an ally. National Coming Out Day marks the anniversary of the March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights held on October 11, 1987. For more information on the history of National Coming Out Day, please explore the Human Rights Campaign’s website and resources.
In recognition of National Coming Out Day, our RRU Proud team will host an online version of the Positive Space Network (PSN) workshop from October 19 – 22. This asynchronously moderated workshop will engage you in discussions around language, culture and assumptions.
You will also be introduced to skills and strategies that will help you contribute to the creation of safer and more inclusive environments for all members of our community.
The workshop will take place over a period of four days and will take between 1-2 hours to complete. Please plan to spend up to 30 minutes each day reviewing materials and engaging in the discussion forums.
Learn more or register for the workshop by emailing us at RRU Proud.
