Please join George Veletsianos, Canada Research Chair and associate professor, School of Education and Technology, for his Roads to Research presentation entitled Openness: An ethos that aligns with Royal Roads values.

"Openness" has influenced the ways scholarship and education are organized, delivered, enacted, and experienced. From open access, to open textbooks, to open teaching, openness is associated with beliefs about equality and justice, as well as with emerging technological developments. In this talk, he will discuss what "open" means for teaching, learning, and scholarship. He will present the opportunities and challenges that an ethos of openness presents for Royal Roads and explore what a move to openness means for our institution and for individual educators, scholars, and faculty.
