SVMP Consultation for Employees
British Columbia’s Sexual Violence and Misconduct Policy Act (2016) requires post-secondary institutions in BC to have a Sexual Violence and Misconduct policy and to review their policies every three years. The Royal Roads Sexual Violence and Misconduct Policy was approved by the Board of Governors on March 31, 2017. We are nearing the three-year mark and the policy is due to be reviewed.
The policy review process provides an opportunity to revise or improve current policy language. The goal of this review is to clarify the policy in addressing and preventing sexual violence and misconduct in our communities. This review process is only about the policy, and does not extend to the protocols and procedures related to the policy.
The review process is being facilitated by members of the Prevention and Response to Sexual Violence and Misconduct Advisory Committee. For information about the work of this committee, visit their SharePoint site.
Please review the policy and consider:
- Is there anything in the policy that you think should be changed?
- Do you think anything is missing from the policy?
Please provide feedback in whatever way works best for you:
