Please join us for the School of Communication and Culture’s next edition of Communications Matters, “A View from There - A Look at Canada's Changing Image in China and the Caribbean.” We will discuss economic and cultural changes in China and the Caribbean and how Canada is viewed in those areas. A panel discussion will be moderated by Scott McDonald, former Asia foreign correspondent and associate faculty member in the School of Communication and Culture.

Panelists

Kindy Carter is informed about the historical relationship between Canada and Barbados as both countries are members of the British Commonwealth and share a stable economic relationship. She graduated from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a focus on critical theory. She is also a graduate of the Master of Arts in Intercultural and International Communication from Royal Roads University. She is currently a Program Associate in the School of Business at Royal Roads University.

Rongcheng Zhang is joining the panel with the knowledge background of Chinese culture, history, and politics. He graduated from Communication University of China Nanjing College and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is currently a student in the Master of Arts in Intercultural and International Communication at Royal Roads University.

Yiyi Liu is joining the panel as an individual who has a great interest in culture difference. She graduated from Shanghai Ocean University in China with an engineering diploma. She is currently a student in the Master of Arts in Intercultural and International Communication program at Royal Roads University.
