Wellness Workshop: Self-Care in a Heavily Digital World

As a post-secondary student, taking care of your health and wellness doesn’t always make it to the top of the priority list. We understand that studying while balancing a plethora of other responsibilities (and getting through a global pandemic!) is no easy feat.

In order to provide some support to our student community and in acknowledgment of Mental Health Week, our Counselling & Learning Strategy Team will host a spring workshop series (online) to build community and explore strategies for developing personal, professional, and academic resilience.

Our "Self-Care in a Heavily Digital World" workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. (PDT).

This workshop will offer:

  • A discussion of the impacts of screen time on our mental and physical health;
  • Tips on how to take care of ourselves while meeting our work/school expectations;
  • Approaches for self-compassion and self-care during a stressful and screen-heavy time.
