Anna Maria Tremonti on different sides to the idea of “truth”
June 11, 2018
Spring 2018 Convocation honorary degree recipient Anna Maria Tremonti speaks to CBC On the Island host Gregor Craigie about the honour, her work as a journalist over a 30-year career and what it takes to find the truth among competing voices.
Here’s an excerpt:
“Finding the truth often becomes difficult. There are often two or three different sides to the idea of truth and to bring it forward as a journalist, you have to find it and ask questions, and find out what should be the most dominant part of that. That’s the conundrum, especially in today’s world.”
