Cox on the anniversary of 9-11

School of Humanitarian Studies Prof. Robin Cox was interviewed by Pamela McCall on CFAX Radio about the 15th anniversary and the impact of the 9-11 terrorist attacks on the United States.

Here is an excerpt:

“I went to New York as part of a response by the Red Cross—we were seconded by the American Red Cross; I was volunteering with the Canadian Red Cross at the time,” says Cox. “Like anyone that was there following that event it was profoundly impactful, it was a very stressful time, there were hundreds of thousands of volunteers in New York at that time and it felt both very moving and distressing talking to people and seeing the impact, but also very hopeful in some way when you saw the response of people which was generally speaking to help, to contribute, and to be remarkably resilient in the face of such a tragedy.”
