Film retells dramatic story of important naval battles

A Nov. 25 screening of the British Film Institute's (BFI) 1927 restored silent film, The Battles of Coronel and Falkland Islands brought together members of the Royal Canadian Navy and the Royal Roads community to commemorate Canada’s first casualties of World War I.

Former Royal Canadian Navy Officer and Associate Prof. Dr. Geoff Bird and Royal Roads Military and Security Relations and Business Development Director Shelley Langille arranged the screening at the Collier Theatre at the Naval Officer Training Centre VENTURE.
