Hanlon on global security

Robert Hanlon

School of Humanitarian Studies Associate Faculty member Robert Hanlon was interviewed on CBC Radio’s Daybreak Kamloops program about the book Freedom From Fear he co-authored with Prof. Kenneth Christie.

Here’s an excerpt:

“My co-author and I have been working in the field of human security for the past 10 years and we wanted to explain and try to tackle new approaches for looking at conflict, looking at poverty, looking at challenges that the world faces,” says Hanlon. “It’s a scary world at times and we wanted to put together a text that presented new approaches, new material saying the old ways of how we consider this stuff might be time to rethought and re-introduced to students and practitioners alike.”
