Hodson on Facebook data collection

College of Interdisciplinary Studies Assoc. Prof. Jaigris Hodson  joined Al Ferraby on CFAX 1070 to discuss Facebook collection and use of data in light of Mark Zuckerberg’s testimony on recent misuse of data.

Here is an excerpt:

“If you are using Facebook, you are subjecting yourself to a certain amount of data collection just by being on there and that is the price you pay by using Facebook. I don’t think this is necessary always a bad thing […]. People have to realize that by going on, you have signed up and the payment you’re making is your data because you’re not paying to use it.”
