International leaders debate how to fight terrorism
September 28, 2015
School of Humanitarian Studies Prof. Kenneth Christie was interviewed by CFAX Radio’s Terry Moore Sept. 28 about the clashing speeches delivered by the U.S. and Russian presidents at the United Nations Summit.
Here is an excerpt:
“Obama made quite a defensive speech and on the other hand you have Russia’s Putin who suggested a type of global anti-terror coalition in the same way the forces came to fight against the Nazis during World War 2,” says Christie. “This would be an interesting compromise, but there are enormous international divisions.”
