International partnerships cultivated at Royal Roads

The Goldstream Gazette covered Royal Roads’ Global Alumni Weekend which was held Sept. 11 to 13 with nearly 100 offshore alumni from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong participating in the weekend events. Several domestic alumni from Vancouver and Victoria also attended the celebrations. This was the first time the event was held on campus and in Canada.

"It was a very valuable opportunity for the domestic and overseas alumni to interact and to meet and spend some time together to celebrate our commonalities," says Royal Roads Master of Business Administration alumna Clara Yan.

Yan is now a financial advisor with Sun Life in Victoria. She adds that as someone who keeps track of the foreign investment markets for her clients, she appreciated getting more information on the broad topic of business development in China and partnerships with Canada.
