Lost soldier, son of former B.C. premier recognized by university

A plaque commemorating the life of James (Boy) Dunsmuir was unveiled last week at a ceremony at Hatley Castle, his family’s former residence. The plaque was donated to the university by Michael Audain, a Dunsmuir family descendant and chairman of Polygon Homes Ltd. The story about Boy and the inspiration for the plaque was featured in a number of media outlets including the Vancouver Sun on July 9.

“We are dedicating this plaque here today so that future generations will know about the sacrifice of your beloved son Boy,” [said] Michael Audain ... “His name will not be lost in the mists of time.”
