Afro-Heritage Association co-founder and president Ruth Nakalyowa spoke with Victoria News about planned events for Black History Month on campus.

Here is an excerpt:

“It’s an opportunity for us to raise more awareness and bring community members together to learn, listen and engage,” said Ruth Nakalyowa. The association was created last year to connect students of Afro-heritage and connect with students who are interested in learning more about diverse cultures.

The story appeared on Victoria News and five other Black Press outlets.
