In support of an upcoming presentation on his recent visti to the Kitchener Wood battleground in Ypres, Belgium, Dr. Geoff Bird spoke to CFAX radio host Bruce Williams about touring the place where 100 years ago a large number of Vancouver Island soldiers were lost in one of the first battles that included the use of poison gas. Geoff also talks about the connection between remembrance and touring battlefields in general and provides links and background to other commemorative events happening this week around the world.
