Seeman on the creation of HCMS Royal Roads

Royal Roads University Museum and Archives Specialist Jenny Seeman was interviewed by Joel Tansey of the Goldstream News Gazette about the Canadian government’s creation of a naval training academy at Hatley Park during the Second World War.

“They realized very quickly that there was a big shortage of naval sub-lieutenants in the Canadian Navy that could lead the escort ships that were going back and forth across the Atlantic,” explained Seeman.
