Diversity Action Group seeks feedback on diversity statement

Royal Roads University’s Diversity Action Group (DAG) is assessing how to better support equality, diversity and inclusion of its students, faculty and staff.

The DAG is a working group made up of Royal Roads students, faculty and staff that supports diversity-related events and champions inclusivity. It aims to ensure everyone feels safe, included and equal as part of Royal Roads learning community.

The group is seeking feedback on both the current Diversity Statement as well as opportunities to better appreciate and celebrate diversity at Royal Roads.

The university’s first diversity statement was endorsed by the board of governors in 2011. The DAG’s terms of reference call on the group to re-assess the statement every three years to make recommendations for changes as appropriate.

Royal Roads community members can share feedback through email or Padlet, a virtual interactive whiteboard where users can share comments, photos or files. On Padlet, users can opt to provide feedback anonymously. Feedback on the diversity statement and on ways to further diversity at Royal Roads will be open until the end of July.
