Fund tuition through loyalty points

Royal Roads University students have a new opportunity to help fund their education.

Royal Roads is now a participating institution in the HigherEdPoints program. Through this program, students are able to convert Aeroplan® Miles and TD Points into funds to help cover their tuition. Family members and friends can also contribute to a student’s education by converting their loyalty points—anyone can donate their points to an individual student.

“This is another great option to make good use of these reward points programs,” says Gwen Campden, Royal Roads Manager, Financial Aid and Awards. “Any opportunity to reduce student debt is worthwhile.”

Royal Roads is also fundraising for vulnerable students through the Beyond Miles program where loyalty points can be donated to the Area of Greatest Student Need Fund. Donating as few as 1,000 Aeroplan® Miles will help support emergency bursaries for students who have run into critical financial need due to unforeseen life events. Donations will help reduce financial barriers to education for those who have overcome great personal challenges in life such as being a former child in care or the child of a fallen service member. The fund also helps stock the shelves of the RRU Food Bank with non-perishable food items and toiletries.

Visit the HigherEdPoints and the Beyond Miles websites for more information about the programs or to set up an account to convert your points.
