Muriel in vegetable garden, Journey's End McCann Collection RRU Archives

Muriel Dunsmuir, seventh child of James and Laura Dunsmuir, had a house built near Hatley Park in 1932. Named Journey's End, this house is now used as the administration building for Fort Rodd Hill Park National Historic Site. During the time Muriel (or "Moulie") was there, it obviously had a scrumptious garden, as one can see in the vibrancy of the vegetable patch in the photo above and in the spent foxgloves Muriel tends to in front of her house.
