View of Fisgard Lighthouse from Journey's End

If you’re looking for something free to do this Sunday, September 18, look no further than Fort Rodd Hill for the Colwood Seaside Festival! This heritage event promises to be lots of fun, with horse drawn carriage rides around the site, a scavenger hunt, historic tours from storyteller John Adams, a paint-in at the Fort contest, food trucks and lots of other fun things to do. Royal Roads University Archives will be there with an interactive heritage display and some prizes to be won, so be sure to drop by and say hello!

For the curious, the picture above shows the view from Journey's End, the former home of Muriel Dunsmuir and now the Administration building for Fort Rodd Hill. Still a spectacular view today!

For more information about the festival, contact Jenny Seeman in the archives, ext 4122, or visit the event's website.
