While completing her internship for IHMN295, Sherry Guo, BA in International Hotel Management student, was recently presented with the Delta GM Club Award by the general manager of the Delta Ocean Pointe Hotel, Kimberley Hughes. This award had only been issued three times in the hotel at the time it was awarded to Sherry.
Sherry was recognized for going above and beyond to solve a service issue with one of the hotel’s major business accounts. As an intern, she surpassed any expectation to ensure that service was not compromised by an external disruption with the guest’s schedule.
The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management is very proud of Sherry’s initiative during her work term course.
