The World Cafe was recently held in the Quarterdeck for BAPC and MAIIC-OC students. There were approximately 80 students from 15 different countries. The students brought a variety of food from their own cultures to share with eachother and participated in discussions regarding food, cultural identity, ethnicity, globalization, etc. There was a great combination of cultural backgrounds and experiences which sparked a lot of interesting discussions, inspiring ideas and positive energy. Towards the end of the World Cafe a student volunteered to sing a prefect song from a Disney movie to demonstrate intercultural exchange and communication. Everyone really enjoyed the song. A big thank you to SCC's Dr. Juana Du for facilitating this very succesful event.
