A big night for Cont Studies & Victoria WIN

Tess Wixted

Last week School of Communication and Culture Director Jennifer Walinga generously offered an evening talk on Women in Leadership through Continuing Studies. Thanks to the benevolent contributions of the evening's guests, over $300 was raised for the Victoria Women in Need Community Cooperative (WIN).

Shoko Sato, a staff member at WIN, was at the event and shared her appreciation.

"Thank you for choosing the Victoria Women In Need Community Cooperative (WIN) as an organization to donate the registration fee to. Women in Leadership was such an interesting topic and Dr. Walinga was incredibly knowledgeable. Some of the statistics she showed in the presentation were astounding and the discussion among participants was a great place to share experiences, thoughts and ideas. We really appreciate Royal Roads University for organizing the evening and Dr. Walinga for sharing her knowledge," she said.

Thanks to Dr. Walinga, all who attended this special evening, and the staff and clients of WIN for their heartful journey to resiliency and wellness.
