Board of Governors staff election results

Candace Perkins, Senior HR Advisor, will be staff representative on the RRU Board of Governors for three years beginning April 1, 2014.

On behalf of the electoral officer (the Registrar) we are pleased to announce the following successful candidates on the 2014 Board of Governors election for both staff and students.

Staff representative

Election participation was high with 67 per cent of eligible staff casting their votes, resulting in a tie between Candace Perkins and Doug Ozeroff. The subsequent run-off election attracted even higher participation: almost 76 per cent of eligible staff voted with only six votes separating the two candidates.

The successful candidate for staff representative for a three year term (April 1, 2014 - March 31, 2017) is Candace Perkins, Senior HR Advisor, Human Resources. Congratulations Candace! 

Thank you to the other candidates Jesse Atkins, Doug Ozeroff, Catherine Riggins and Rhonda White for putting their names forward and participating in the election.

Student representative

The successful candidate for the student representative for a one year term (April 1, 2014 - March 31, 2015) is Murray Langdon, EXMGMT– MBA. Congratulations Murray!
