Campus progress update
Minor work to complete the tie-ins to the new horizontal infrastructure systems will be wrapped up by the end of September.
Deferred maintenance roadwork
To improve campus safety, we are refreshing the line painting on various roads throughout campus. This work will progress, weather permitting, over the next few months and is expected to be complete by end of December. Safety around this work will be managed by flaggers, and in order to minimize impact on the campus, this work will be done both in the daytime and at night.
Learning and Teaching Auditorium and West Campus infrastructure upgrades
A number of construction activities continue in the West Campus area.
PLEASE obey the 10 km speed limit on West Campus Road. Construction vehicles are often travelling to and from adjacent work sites. You will see flaggers along West Campus Road and in front of the Learning and Teaching Auditorium. Please be safe and obey the flaggers.
Improvements to drainage continues near House 3 and the area below P7. Some parking spots in the southeast corner of P7 may be closed during this time. Additional parking continues to be available below P7/adjacent to Cottonwood Lane.
Arbutus 7A has been successfully migrated to the new network. The project team is providing day one support on site on Friday, September 27.
All staff, students and visitors to campus are reminded to obey the posted speed limits and watch for flag people directing traffic.
Safe driving on campus is essential to everyone’s wellbeing.
