Deferred maintenance roadwork

A line painting refresh of the roads and parking areas on campus continues. The bulk of the work has been completed; however, there remains a small portion to complete between the LIC and Grant for EV charging stations and the modifications around the Arbutus and 7B area. Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed by mid-December. Safety around this work will be managed by flaggers, and in order to minimize impact on the campus, this work will be done during the day, at night and on weekends.

Learning and Teaching Auditorium and West Campus horizontal infrastructure upgrades

A number of construction activities continue in the West Campus area.

LTA

Construction vehicles continue to travel along West Campus Road carrying heavy loads, so please be safe and obey the 10 km speed limit. Traffic management will be assisted by flaggers as needed.

For the balance of the project, the new service road completed through to West College Drive will be accessible for construction vehicles only. Vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic/campus users are requested to be mindful of the new entry point on the west end of College Drive.

Data Services

Cabling work in the Nixon building has commenced. Please stay tuned for further updates.

Safety first

All staff, students and visitors to campus are reminded to obey the posted speed limits and watch for flag people directing traffic.

Safe driving on campus is essential to everyone’s wellbeing.
