Castle first floor refresh

Campus Operations continues to supervise priority deferred maintenance work in the Castle's first floor drawing room, lounge and meeting room. These spaces are expected to be put back into service January 19, 2020. If you have any questions about the initiative or access to these spaces, please feel free to contact Caroline Aked

Learning & Teaching Auditorium

Continued construction work on the LTA will affect the parking area adjacent to the LTA and the Sherman Jen Building over the next month. Temporary fencing will be set up in some areas of the parking lot to facilitate construction activity. Traffic will be rerouted temporarily, and flaggers will be present as needed.

Please drive carefully, obey flaggers and follow the detoured route.

Large construction vehicles continue to travel along West Campus Road carrying heavy loads. Safety first: please obey the 10 km speed limit; traffic management will be assisted by flaggers as needed.

Data Services

Residence 14 was connected to the new data services infrastructure on January 6.

Cabling work is continuing in the Millward building, and the Nixon building is scheduled to be cut over to the new data services and WiFi on January 16.

Further updates will be forthcoming as we continue with remaining buildings.

Safety first

All staff, students and visitors to campus are reminded to obey traffic rerouting indications and posted speed limits and watch for flag people directing traffic.

Safe driving on campus is essential to everyone’s wellbeing.
