Street Lighting

Street lights at the entrance to parking lot P4 (track at the top of the hill), at the #52 bus loop as well as on Serpentine and West Campus Roads are temporarily out of order. Repairs are underway with an expected completion in two-three weeks. Please drive carefully and watch for pedestrians and cyclists at all times, especially after dark.

Learning and Teaching Auditorium

Construction work on the LTA continues.

Temporary fencing has been set up in the parking areas adjacent to the LTA and the Sherman Jen Building for the next month to facilitate sewer system upgrades. Traffic will be rerouted temporarily and flaggers will be present as needed. Please drive carefully, obey flaggers and follow the detoured route.

Large construction vehicles continue to travel along West Campus Road carrying heavy loads and a crane is scheduled to be on site during the week of January 27. Safety first: please obey the 10 km speed limit; traffic management will be assisted by flaggers as needed.

West Campus parking

Due to the increased construction activity in and around the LTA, West Campus parking is being monitored and managed closely. Please use designated parking areas and keep cars off the roadways. Take advantage of the new additional parking below P7 (southeast of the Sherman Jen Building).

Data Services

Activation of the new network in the Nixon building was successfully completed on January 16.

Cabling work continues in the Millward building. Further updates will be provided as the year end project completion approaches.

Safety first

All staff, students and visitors to campus are reminded to obey traffic rerouting indications and posted speed limits and watch for flag people directing traffic.

Safe driving on campus is essential to everyone’s wellbeing.
