Carolin Rekar Munro heads back to Africa
Carolin leads a distinguished team of 5 Canadian educators and twenty Tanzanian educators and district officials who are committed to closing the global education divide through professional development and community education. The team will work with teachers in the rural areas of Tanzania to enhance their leadership skills in championing and managing self-directed and self-sustaining professional development in their communities.
Carolin will also continue with her research project which involves gathering qualitative and quantitative evidence from teachers, students, parents, headmasters/mistresses, and district education officials that the Education Beyond Borders model is making a difference in their communities. While in Tanzania, Carolin returns to Mount Meru University (MMU), where she is a visiting professor, to explore possible partnerships between MMU and RRU.
