Changes in the School of Leadership Studies

With a number of personnel changes in the School of Leadership Studies recently, we would like to announce the following updates:

As you are already aware, Brigitte Harris was recently appointed as acting dean of FSAS on a one-year term. Catherine Etmanski has been appointed to serve as acting school director during this time.

Jackie Raby has also been appointed to the acting administrative manager, FSAS role in the Dean’s Office, also for a one-year term. Lauren Garvey has been appointed to serve as acting school manager during this time.

In addition, we are pleased to announce two new limited term employment positions for the school. Dr. Kathy Bishop has joined us as the MA Leadership program head (multisectoral) and Barb Stoddard as the MA Leadership program head (Health). Kathy’s appointment is for a one year term, until (March 31, 2017) and Barb’s appointment is for a seven month term (until October 31, 2017). Although Kathy and Barb have been associated with the school for several years, we look forward to working with them in these new limited term employment capacities.

Finally, we are simply thrilled that our very own Dr. Eileen Piggot-Irvine has been awarded a Visiting Research Fellowship at Griffith University in Australia. Sadly, this means she will be leaving us in her full-time capacity at the end of June; however, we share in her excitement for this wonderful opportunity. We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Eileen for her years of service in SoLS. She has made significant contributions to the school during her time here and we have learned much from her expertise in Action Research. We will certainly miss having her with us on campus, but we wish her the very best with her exciting plans ahead and hope to see her again before long. Congratulations Eileen!
