Tracy Kelly has accepted a new and exciting position with BCcampus and is leaving Royal Roads University after 10 years of amazing contributions to our community. Her last day will be Friday, Aug. 1. Please join us as we CELEBRATE TRACY on Wednesday, July 30 at 4 p.m. in the Staff Lounge (next to Habitat).
Whether in her early days as a member of the METRO team, her long service as an Instructional Designer, or serving as Acting Director of CTET, Manager of Teaching and Learning, and most recently Manager of Learning Technologies, Tracy has brought a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and creativity to her work. Her expertise and talents have continuously improved our course development, instructional design, and educational technologies. She was for many years the subject matter expert and most excellent faciltator for our signature Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) and Instructional Skills Workshop Online (ISWO) offerings, working closely with her colleague and friend, BJ Eib. Tracy brought innovation and inspiration to many, many faculty, staff and students over the years who had the privilege of particiating in workshops she developed and/or facilitated. Most recently she has been enriching this work with her fabulous graphic recordings as well. A true artist, Tracy has left everything she has touched here more beautiful!
Extending her work outside of Royal Roads, Tracy was Chair of the the Educational Technology Users Group (ETUG) from 2009 to 2011, a community of BC post-secondary educational practitioners focused on the ways in which learning and teaching can be enhanced through technology. Tracy has also served on the Steering Committee of this important provincial group for more than nine years.
We will miss Tracy's energetic, caring, social, witty, and generous spirit. We wish her well as she takes this next fork in the road - and we know that our paths will cross again.
