Craft Beer Barrels

From her research on the resurgence of consumer interest in handcrafted goods, Royal Roads Master of Arts in Intercultural and International Communication student Angela Anderson-Blunt produced the audio documentary Craft Beer and Community as an assignment for the Public Culture course. She looks at how the rise in local craft beer informs social identities and community among people who make and consume locally made beer, at this time when people are increasingly interested in knowing what is in the products they buy and who makes them, alongside desires for variety and uniqueness in experiences and products.

Angela was interviewed for the University of Calgary’s radio station CJSW regarding her research into local craft beer.
