CStudies raises $300 for Cool Aid Society

Tess Wixted

Each year Continuing Studies has added more evening talks to offer learners on campus and in the community a chance to get a taste of the distinctive courses we offer. Besides being a place to explore subjects as diverse as mindfulness and money, boundaries and happiness, leadership and photography, technology and peace, we choose one local charity for each event and simply ask for donations from those attending the talks. No fee, no suggested amounts; whatever fits and feels right for each individual.

The outpouring of generosity has been nothing less than spectacular.

Last night at our first evening talk of the season, Introduction to Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, 47 people came out into the misty end of summer evening and donated $300 to The Victoria Cool Aid Society. With tremendous gratitude, we thank you.

Join us for one of these upcoming evening talks and make a difference in someone's life. Maybe even your own.
