Dean Holmes on Design Thinking Challenge
Last week’s Royal Roads Design Thinking Challenge (RRDTC) was an eye-opening and formative experience for students, coaches and judges alike. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all involved for their contributions in another highly engaging and successful student challenge. Something special was achieved that reflected RRU’s reputation as a place for collaboration and change-making.
A couple quotes from the judges.
- “Huge kudos for building a bold new learning format that emphasized collaboration over competition, and mindset over methods. These are the problem solving skills we desperately need in the next generation of leaders.”
- “Brilliant students + well-organized event = great learning experience for everybody.”
Thank you to Amy Zidulka and Michael Pardy for their energy, imagination, commitment and hard work! Sylvia Chu provided unparalleled administrative support and her organizational skills shone. Cindy MacDougall did an outstanding job with communications and promotion of this event via news stories, social media, etc. Thank you all for your outstanding support and contributions to our second annual RRDTC!
