Documentary Reflects Humility in Nature
Lindsay Marie Stewart’s short film The Art of Wild looks through the life views and lenses of five experiential artist athletes in British Columbia to reflect on the human sense of smallness on this vast earth. Stewart is a Master of Arts graduate of the Intercultural and International Communications program at Royal Roads. Through her film, she allows viewers to enjoy the beauty of nature and the exploration, contemplation and freedom it evokes as she follows the artists climbing rock routes on Vancouver Island, diving into north Pacific Ocean waves, riding the Kootenay Rockies and biking lost landscapes from a tiny off-grid cabin tucked in the northern-most corner of the province. The Art of Wild screened at the 2016 Banff Mountain Film Festival.
