Exploring transformative learning at RRU


Jennifer Walinga, School of Culture and Communications, and Brigitte Harris, School of Leadership Studies, attended the 21st International Conference on Learning in New York City to present the results of their research on how SCC and SoLS students experience RRU’s Learning and Teaching Model.

Jennifer and Brigitte's findings show that, while students come to appreciate and value their learning experiences at RRU, there may be an initial clash between their previous experiences in formal education or their expectations of university education. However, that clash is an essential stage of the transformational learning process.
