Faculty of Management welcomes Deb Linehan
I’m pleased to announce that a new core faculty member, Dr. Debora Linehan, will be joining the School of Business this fall.
Debora Linehan’s area of expertise is intercultural leadership. Her research is focused on cultural integration in the workplace and explores biculturalism and ethnic identity. Her research also reveals the cultural interactions and organizational gaps that lead to exclusion in the workplace. As a scholar practitioner, Deb’s goal is to continue to advance the study and application of intercultural leadership competencies within organizations in order to promote diversity in leadership. Her career has primarily been in leadership roles within the financial industry, including serving as the regional vice president with RBC and executive champion on RBC’s national diversity counsel. She has actively served in many organizations as a volunteer and as a board member and is a life-long learner. Deb holds a Doctor of Social Sciences (2014) and a MBA in Executive Leadership (2002) from Royal Roads. She has several industry-related certifications in addition to a Certified Management Consultant designation.
Deb will join us on Sept 9, 2019. Please join me in warmly welcoming her to campus!
