Indigenous Education and Student Services (IESS) and the Diversity Action Group (DAG) invite you to participate in or promote the Moose Hide Campaign's One Day Fast. The Moose Hide Campaign is a grassroots movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous men and boys who are standing up against violence towards women and children. The one day fast, on February 15, 2018, is for men to refrain from eating or drinking from sunrise to sunset. This simple act of sacrifice is a way of showing empathy for women who endure violence in their lives and for fasters to demonstrate the strength of their commitment to end violence against women and children. Members of the on-campus community at Royal Roads who engage in the fast are invited to participate in a Fast Breaking Ceremony at Sneq'wa E'lun on February 15 at 4:30pm. Please RSVP if you would like to attend.
