Festival of Learning proposals due March 14

The Festival of Learning (June 6 – 9, 2016 in Burnaby, B.C.) is a celebration of learning and teaching in higher education in British Columbia. It will be an excellent conference for RRU faculty to showcase their work, especially in the Scholarly Inquiry session. Faculty, instructors, professors, educational developers, educational technologists, leaders, and all who work in teaching and learning in B.C. higher education will find a variety of opportunities to learn, laugh, create and collaborate with colleagues from across B.C. and beyond.

The deadline for submitting proposals to the Scholarly Inquiry sessions, showcase presentations and research bites is Monday, March 14, at midnight.

Registration for the Festival of Learning is now open.

The Festival of Learning was conceived by members of the B.C. Teaching and Learning Council to create a significant collaborative initiative to showcase and celebrate learning. CTET’s Vivian Forssman is RRU’s representative on this Council. BCcampus is generously supporting the development of this event, along with many volunteers across the province to make this a memorable time for all.

This event brings together a number of well-attended annual provincial events under the festival banner including:

  • British Columbia Teaching & Learning Council (BCTLC), Symposium on Scholarly Teaching & Learning
  • Educational Technology Users Group (ETUG), ETUG Workshops
  • Open Education, Open Textbook Summit
  • British Columbia Teaching & Learning Network (BC-TLN), Spring Gathering
