Funded program returns to CS!
Continuing Studies is excited to announce that in partnership with the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training we will once again be helping people in our community learn their way back to work through the Employment Skills Access (ESA) program, the Business Technology Certificate.
The certificate is a 7 week fully funded program that prepares unemployed adult workers for transition, entry, or re-integration into the workplace. Intake dates are November 2014 and January 2015.
If you know of someone who is unemployed, non-EI eligible, or marginally employed (but low skilled), pass on this news as they may qualify for this free training. The learning is designed to equip participants for administrative and service-oriented positions applicable across almost all job sectors. Participants learn workplace-relevant computer fundamentals, and get plenty of hands-on practice so that they can confidently “hit the ground running” and become an instant asset on the job. Skill training includes Microsoft™ (MS) operating systems, software, peripherals, hardware, the internet, as well as in-depth study of MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, plus volunteer opportunities and job-shadowing.
