Grant awarded: Ann Dale's Resource+ Project
The Office of Research Services congratulates Ann Dale on receipt of a new grant from the Canadian Foundation for Infrastructure and the BC Knowledge Development Fund. This grant, entitled Resource+, will pilot a new interdisciplinary infrastructure partnership crossing the academic and private sector.
Led by Dale, the partnership includes Sustainability Solutions Group (SSG), two new collaborators: whatIf? Technologies and Ralph Torrie & Associates, and research associate Robert Newell.
The proposed infrastructure will be the first computer-based simulation model that integrates land, water, and energy use with environmental, social, and economic imperatives. This unique and exciting infrastructure will be designed for researchers and community decision-makers to assess the implementation of sustainable development in their community, and to redirect investments towards more sustainable choices.
